Don't cry LJ..

Last year, I was on a big hunt for finding the perfect dress for one of my best friend's wedding. You can go back to my history and see the multiple posts about za dress search. Jen & I became obsessed with Jenny Packham's black sequined dress from A/W 08. Like.....really obsessed. Obsessed to the point where Jen had the picture of the dress as her profile photo on facebook for many many weeks. We dreamed about it, thought of where we'd wear, who it'll look good on, what the back would look like (Runway photos did not show the back..).


I went to London on a dress searching trip and trotted my ass over to Harrods, the main carrier of Jenny Packham's stuff (before the boutique opened). Nina was the lady in charge of the Jenny, Jenny's connections and order (I'd like to pretend that Jenny Packham and I are on first name basis). Nina told me that that particular dress did not come in at all, and that if I really wanted it, I'd have to place an order. Bear in mind that the order was non refundable at a price tag of over 3500 pounds. I wasn't sure if the dress I'f order would even fit me. I gave Nina my number, but I never heard from her. I persumed the dress could not be made for me.

Dalal, one of my close friends, rang me one day about this wedding she attended. She was describing the bride's sister's dress, and she was thinking "Where have I seen this beautiful black dress before?". It was right here on SOS!...that's where she saw it. My reaction.....I screamed with jealousy.

I'm still not over that dress. I felt like crying when I saw Malin Akerman wearing this same dress on GoFugYourself. The back, front, sides and all dimensions is gorgeous. The fug girls didn't like it, but I feel like punching Malin, stripping her out of that dress, and slipping that beautiful beaded sequined dress on moi.


Positive thoughts... Positive thoughts LJ. Deep yoga breaths.. I have my own Jenny Packham dress. So, it's ok. I must move on.
