FIERCE

Christian Siriano was my favorite Project Runway contestant ever. I admired his passion and loved his innovation. Remember the brown and beige ruffled dress and that god knows how many yards long chiffon dress he made? It was fierce, boy. And damn him and Tyra for making me say 'FIERCE!', but I love it.

Anyway, we've all probably heard at this point that the man himself is designing shoes for Payless. I was on The Cut earlier, and saw their early preview of the collection. The collection of shoes is Egyptian inspired, with a color range of browns, rusty gold and turquise. There are also lots of spikes and chains reminiscent of Christian Louboutin for Rodarte. The heels are chunky and curved, a little bit similar to Rupert Sanderson's heels, but even chunkier.

The collection is alright for a 25-45$ shoe range, but the colors aren't really "me". I quite like the cuffed heel with dangling layers and layers of old rusty chains (the picture on top right corner), and I also like the patent boots on the bottom left corner. I wish I could replace all the browns with black! I shouldn't be too picky here.. still fierce I suppose.

One more time......... FIERCE.

wow, i have NOT been to payless in a very long time it seems...
last time i was there, they were knocking of easy spirit, and there is not a whole lot of design to knock off from easy spirit!

these are fierce for payless, i wonder how well they will sell?
personally, they are way to goth and painful looking for me. not crazy about the heel shape either...
but you go PAYLESS!

They are lovely but they're brown. And they're not even the right shade of brown, quite disappointing.

I just love Christian Siriano...the way his mind works is just beautiful. I know what you mean about the browns, but I am LOVING that teal-ish shoe, it's fantastic!
